Shauna (and Mom) threw me a baby shower this last Saturday. It was great to see everyone, even though it was very warm! We played “guess what baby food” and “guess what melty-chocolatey-candy is in the diaper”. Here are lots of photos!
Shauna and I have been painting the baby’s room (ok, mostly Shauna… I just try to stay inside the lines). It is not all the way finished, but here are some photos of what we have done:
Her room is still pretty messy — we are organizing all of the generous gifts that were given to Lily at the baby shower.
For those who haven’t seen some ultrasound pictures, here they are.
These ultrasound pictures were taken July 2, 2008. My first doctors appointment was June 30. That is when the doctor confirmed that I was not only pregnant, but I was nearly 6 months pregnant with a baby girl. Two days later I went in for my first ultrasound…
The most recent ultrasound picture is a 3D image of baby Lily. I cannot figure out how to post it, I will have to wait for Andy to come home. Speaking of Andy… Today is his second day at his new job — he is working as a web designer/developer and OSU Federal Credit Union. So far so good, but who knows, it is only the second day! He has been doing a great job of getting to bed by 10pm each night so that he can wake up and work out a 6am (he works 8am-5pm daily). His responsibility every night is to iron and de-cat-hair his clothes for the next day (he wears a shirt and tie everyday)… My responsibility is to pack his lunch!
Here are some new pictures of Andy and me, taken August 16. The baby is due October 16 (give or take who knows how long). I also just got a new haircut! The days have been miserably hot and long hair was not working.
Last night I had my first bad pregnancy night… My temperature was down 2 degrees and nothing could help me sleep or make me comfortable. Fortunately, I awakened Andy so he could be miserable and tired too. Misery loves company! Even though the night was awful, I guess I have no room to complain — one bad pregnancy night isn’t much to get mileage out of.
Hi All,
I just had a check-up yesterday with the doctor. It looks like I am 29 weeks along and everything is going well. The baby’s heart is very healthy! I will have another ultrasound next week to check her growth progress. The baby is expected in mid-October — the last date I saw actually written was October 16, but this is a very rough estimate.
Andy and I have been doing very well. I have been working 2-3 hours a day tutoring and Andy has been working on some web projects as well as searching for a full-time job. He had an interview today with OSU Federal Credit Union that went very well and looks promising. We will keep you posted about that.
We don’t sleep much any more (which I know will only get worse). At least the Tour de France airs early in the morning so Andy and I can watch that during breakfast.

I heard the news while I was in a business meeting with some clients up in Portland. I told the very nice ladies that I had to take a call, my wife was seeing her doctor. Little did I know I was about to hear that Stacey was 6 months pregnant with a baby girl!
