Spring

2 days of sun in a row?  I cannot believe it.  Please, please be here to stay.  I need sun at this point.  I need to be able to take Lily to the park.  I need to be able to take her on walks.  No more sitting on the couch on the computer (like I am doing right now).  Well, she is still asleep, I have an excuse.

Of course Lily has had a little stomach bug for the past few days.  This results in a very sleepy, very pukey baby.  She seems to be much better now.  Hopefully the bug has passed without hitting either Andy or myself.

Lily has a handful of new words (that she says regularly) and she also will copy what we say.  Some new words (maybe I have already listed these, but oh well) are: tunnel, bubble, Shauna, Shauna-na, Tylenol, Lawn Mower, and sun.

She has also started putting words together:

  • “Nana bubble” = Nana, take me outside to blow bubbles
  • “Ann, home, chickies” = Can we go to Ann’s house so she can show me the chickies?
  • “Bob-bob truck woo-woo” = Grandpa has a truck and a dog

She is just a whole lot of fun.

Beautiful Winter

Here is a great picture of Shauna and Winter (5 days old):

Welcome Winter

Sunday, April 11th, 2010

Welcome to the world Winter Li Tominey — (Lily’s new cousin)!  Baby Winter was born today at 12:28pm: 8 pounds, 15 ounces (told you, Shauna, that you would have a ~9 lb baby), 22 inches.

I will post pictures as soon as I get permission from the new Mom and Dad.  Congratulations Shauna and Colin.

News on our front?

Shauna was due on April 1st… It is now April 10th and Lily’s cousin has still not arrived.  I am becoming a very impatient Aunt (which Shauna could tell you by my constant phone calls and texts)…  Oh well.  It won’t be long… Any day now… (I feel like I have been saying that for 3 weeks).

Lily turned a year and a half on Thursday.  Her latest obsession is with tractors and trucks (also, two of her new words).  She loves tractors.

I desperately need to take some videos of her to put up on the blog to share with you… I will try.

Not too much else is new.  I am busy teaching a math course (Math 65) at the Benton Center this term, and Andy is busy with his Consulting Business and his new software company.

I think I posted these pictures on facebook, but forgot to put them on our blog.  Isabella took them about a month ago:
