Should be sleeping
It is only 10:35, but I should be sleeping.
Lily went to the beach yesterday for the first time. Our camera was, unfortunately, out of batteries. She was a little unsure about crawling in the sand, but really loved it. Surprisingly, she didn’t try to eat it. Once she was comfortable in the sand, she took of straight for the ocean water! Once she hit wet sand, she immediately stopped, checked it out, scratched it, felt it, and continued toward the water. It was a bit cold!
Lily has been having a hard time sleeping lately. I think she is getting some of her molars… She has been awfully fussy. Last night, I didn’t go to bed until 2am… Lily always sleeps until 8, so I would get a good 6 hours of sleep, right? Wrong. Lily awakened at 3:45am. After a bottle and 2 diaper changes, she would not go back to sleep. We were up until 6am. We even had her in bed with us for a while and no one slept….
Andy was Superman today and took care of Lily when she got up again at 9. I slept in a little bit, which was much needed. Lily was very daddy-needy today. She wanted Andy to hold her at all times. She was very fussy about everything. He was Super-Dad and did a great job of taking care of her the majority of the day.
Lily is sleeping at my mom’s tonight so we can get some rest! Time for bed.
