Andy after 100 miles (13.5 hours) of racing

Our new garden: herbs & flowers

SHOES!

Lily is the proud owner of a 2007 Burley D’Lite Ladybug Bike Trailer!

Got a great deal on craigslist!
Saturday Morning: Headed off to Bend. We had a great house with a Bocce Ball court! Saturday night was low key because Andy had to prepare for his race on Sunday.
Sunday Morning: Terry took Andy up to his race. He started in 26 degrees (brrrrrr) around 6:15 in the morning. With a few mechanical shifting problems, he still managed to take off. We brought a cheering section up to see him pass one of his aide stations around 5:30pm. He finished the race at 7:45pm — 13.5 hours of bike racing, 100 miles complete. Wow!
Monday: We went white-water rafting on a little guided tour. That was great fun and we want to plan a day-long rafting trip now!
Tuesday: After eating at Dechutes Brewery, we headed home. Andy, Lily and I were so exhausted. We went to bed at 7pm and didn’t awake until 6am on Wednesday morning.
Well, that is just the brief re-cap of our trip. Andy posted some race pictures and information on Facebook. I will try to get around to posting pictures here soon.
This is a boredom post – not because I really have much to say. I also am awfully tired.
Andy is working – trying to finish a project. I am postponing going to sleep by writing this post.
I have a garden now! A raised bed garden in my backyard, with plants already in it (thanks to a family friend.. he built it and surprised me today by putting some plants / herbs in it!) I am excited to have a vegatable / flower garden.
This weekend we leave for Bend. Andy, as previously mentioned, is doing a 100-mile mountain bike race which he hopes to complete in 12 hours. His race is on Sunday. I have much to do tomorrow to prepare for our trip.
Looking forward to a mini-vacation in Bend with some white-water rafting hopefully.
I am also in the process of watching the Bourne movies. I have never watched them before. I watched part of the Bourne Identity last night but fell asleep. I think I will try to finish it tonight.
12 naps taken since Lily’s birth (in-case anyone else is counting).
That’s all for now. Pictures of my garden, Lily, our Bend trip, and more… coming soon.
I love Google Analytics. It tells me where all the hits on my website come from (the number of “hits” versus the number of “unique visits”). It tells me what pages people click on, how they find my blog, etc… Fantastic. I thought I would share some stats with you:
Google Analytics tells me about my visitor’s loyalty as well. 1,486 people came one time and never came back. Sheesh.
[Currently, I have the word Analytics written 3 times on this blog post. 1 of the times it is underlined as red, meaning it is misspelled. The other 2 times there is no underline. Weird.]
Just thought I’d share some stats with you all.
I have taken 11 naps since Lily has been born. Today I took one of those 11 naps — awakened at 5pm and then had a coffee. It might be a long night for me.
Andy, on the other hand, is exhausted. He rode 50+ miles today with a neighbor-friend up to Mary’s Peak, around and about, and back (5.5 hours approx). He is beat and tired.
Andy always says that I want to live in “Adult Dorms” and he is right — meaning we have all of our friends/family living in one big dorm where we can hang out every night, watch TV/movies, play games, eat dinner, etc… I love hanging out with family and friends and need to do it daily.
I think it is time for bed! Hopefully I can sleep. See you tomorrow, Lianna!
First, I will catch you up on the happenings. Then I will post photos (hence the title of this post)
Our big 10 month old girl:

So, on an impulsive, I chopped all of my hair off. I figured, hair grows back, right? I am not sure if I like it or not — still adjusting. It isn’t bad though…

(Hard to take photos of myself and get a good hair-viewing angle!)
