Oregon Vaughns

Monday morning, Andy woke up and said “Let’s go to Portland.”  I think he just wasn’t ready to return to work.  I am always up for a trip!  We called up Lorna and dragged her along too.  We drove down to the Pearl District, making our first stop Whole Foods (my new favorite place in the world).  Yummm.  They have so much good stuff at Whole Foods.

We made stops at a toy store, Powells Books, REI, and some others… It was very hot out, and in hind-sight it probably wasn’t the best trip for Lily, although she was a trooper.  Andy had his heart set on going to a museum or a gallery, which we didn’t get to do — we will need to plan better for that I suppose.  Andy also has yet to visit OMSI, which we would like to do on another day trip to Portland.

Wednesday morning now and I am sitting downstairs eating pancakes and applesauce.  Andy is at work upstairs in his office and Lily is taking a nap.

Luckily, through all of this heat, we have AC.

Andy’s birthday is tomorrow.  Hopefully we will get a chance to go see Harry Potter 6 over the weekend for a birthday outing.

Also, you may notice a new link added to our blog:  Brooke in Norway.  Our friend, Brooke, left for Norway yesterday to begin studying at a univeristy.  We are excited to follow along on her trip via her blog.  Check it out!
