Today was my first Mother’s Day, and it was wonderful!
Lily spent the night with my mom on Saturday night so Andy and I could get some rest. Here is what my Mother’s Day looked like:
Waking up around 9:30 and going down to the Le Patissier only to find out that they had already sold out of everything by 10am due to the big Mother’s Day rush! Hmph! Plan B (designed on the spot): go to the Beanery right next door.
After breakfast, we went to pick up Lily and proceeded to go with my parents on a walk (with both dogs) around our neighborhood. It was nice to get outside and to be active.
We continued to Starbucks (I didn’t get coffee at the Beanery and needed some!) on the way to pick out part of my Mother’s Day present. Andy had decided to buy me a Miche purse with a few “skins”. I had never heard of this purse, but it is very cool! You buy a basic “base purse” and then attach magnetic outsides to change its appearance. Very cleaver and fun. He took me to pick out the two skins/covers I wanted:

Then, Andy was an excellent sport while I dragged him around shopping for the day. Normally this isn’t his thing, but he was willing for Mother’s Day. TJ Maxx to get Andy new jeans, Ross to find nothing good, The Toy Factory to buy Lily some new stretch pants and tights! By the way, at The Toy Factory you can buy 2 pairs of tights for $4.50 or you can buy the same tights separately for $2.00 each… What?!?
After shopping, it was off to visit some friends for a moment and then to my parent’s house to get ready for dinner. We went and had great Thai food at the Woodsman in Philomath.
That about sums up our day. It was fabulous.
