Oregon Vaughns

Today is Lily’s 6 month birthday.  Here is a picture I just took of her while she sleeps:

Tomorrow morning she goes to see the doctor… More shots.  Hopefully I will get the OK from him to start feeding her some different foods!  Time to diversify her diet.

It is 10:46pm on a Tuesday night.  Lily is asleep in her crib in her own bedroom.  I am lying in bed in my own bedroom.  Could this last?  Will it be?

I am watching her every breath via our new video monitor.  I can see her little chest move up and down as she sleeps.

I know this cannot possible last all night, but if she at least sleeps the first shift on her own, I will be happy.  Once she wakes to eat, I will probably bring her back into the bed so that I may nurse her and fall back asleep.

She is incredible.  Each and every day I am more amazed by her.

Our Vegas trip is almost planned!  Andy just needs to clear the dates with his work and we are buying out tickets ASAP.  I am stoked.

Lily jammed my finger in her mouth today, and what did I feel?  Something small and pokey on her bottoms gums.  Could it be?  It was!  There is a tooth surfacing.  This definitely explains all of her fussiness.  She has been quite the screamer lately – poor girl must be in a lot of pain.  I have given her a little baby medicine to help with the pain.  She is amazing.

Andy is headed to Portland tomorrow for a mountain bike race.  Hopefully it goes well for him, this is his first race in a long while
