Here are some things about Lily and the parent she inherited it from:
Lily’s new favorite thing to say: “Ay yi yi yi yi yi yi!”
She has been talking so much that last two days. She is saying “ba ba ba ba ba” and “ay yi yi yi yi”. She has also started “screaming” and trying to communicate her anger when she is hungry or unhappy.
She just fell asleep next to me without me having to nurse her! Amazing. Lily, Andy and I are all in one bed. We love sleeping together but know that soon we will move Lily into her crib. Last weekend, Andy caved in and let me buy a video monitor. I will feel much more comfortable about living Lily in her room when I can at least check-up on her without having to walk over to her room everytime I worry.
Andy and I had planned to take Lily swimming for the first time tonight. I was really excited! Unfortunately, she was too tired. We fed her and Andy held her while she slept. We ate Local Boyz and watched 24!
Here are some photos I took a few minutes ago (using the camera on my computer):
It has been requested by many people that I update this darn thing… Okay, okay! Sorry, no photos today – we will get new photos up soon.
So, let me think… What is new?
I think that is all from our neck of the woods for now. I will post some pictures soon!
“Maybe she doesn’t like my skin.”
FRIDAY!
Let’s see where I left off last post:
My cold is getting much better and Lily’s snuffy nose is going away. But, unfortunately we have passed it on to my mom… Sorry Mom!
Andy got the stomach flu version and had to miss Tuesday and Wednesday of work. Poor guy! He got hit hard and unexpectedly. Each day he is feeling better than the day before, and went back to work on Thursday.
Andy is also teaching a class today down at Madison Avenue Collective (a freelance collective for web-workers / graphic designers). He is really excited! Although I don’t know much about what he is teaching, I will take Lily down to watch.
Lily is still rolling over all the time – she cannot roll front to back yet. She will roll back to front, play around a little, kick her legs, grab at things, and then get frustrated that she cannot get back.
Two days ago, Lily said “mama”. It was very distinct – Andy heard it too! This was the first time she had ever made that particular sound. Whenever I feed her, I say “mamamamamama” to her. When she said “mama” the other day, she also started smacking her lips – which is something she does when she is hungry. Maybe, just maybe, she has some sort of connection between that sound and hunger!?
That is all from our end. Thank goodness for the weekend.
